Coinciding with the greening of the Palouse, the city of Pullman requests residents and organizations to submit their ideas and goals throughout the month of April to Pullman Mayor Glenn Johnson for City Council consideration.

In past years, goal setting began in January when Mayor Johnson kicked off the process. By shifting the process to later in the year, it is closer to the next budgeting cycle.  Adopted goals that will have a budget impact can be incorporated into the budget.

Goal suggestions should be received by the Mayor’s office no later than Monday, April 30. If you would like to submit your goal suggestions by mail, please address them to

If you would prefer to use email, please open this web form, with Council Goals as the subject line, or fax them to (509) 334-2751.

After receiving goal suggestions from residents, organizations and city government departments, the council and mayor hold a special meeting to review and refine them, as well as adding their own suggestions. On a later date, the council meets with department heads to go through the tentative goal list. The plan is to bring the final, refined list of goals before the City Council for formal adoption in May.
