Bureau of Fire Prevention - Permit Downloads

On October 20, 2015, a resolution adopting a new fee schedule for fire permits was adopted by the Pullman City Council.

On October 29, 2015 this schedule which includes fire construction and operational fees whenever a permit is required by the International Fire Code and other miscellaneous review fees went into effect.

Any plans that were submitted on October 29, 2015 or later will be subject to the new fees.

Miscellaneous Review Fees:

Other plan reviews that do not incorporate required fire department permits a review fee will be charged for fire code compliance at a rate of:    $85.00 per hour with a one-hour minimum.
   
Rush Processing Fee:    $250.00 additional
   
Unscheduled Re-inspection Fee:    $200.00 will be charged for conditions requiring an additional inspection due to system deficiencies, incompletion, etc. The fee must be paid in advance of scheduling an additional inspection.
   
Overtime/Weekend Inspections:    Weekday after 5 PM @ 1 hour minimum…$127.50 per hour
Weekend/Holiday @ 2 hour minimum…$170.00 per hour
   
Working w/o Permit/Stop Work Fee:    $500.00 first offense
$1,000.00 ea. offense thereafter

 

Permit Fees:
Fees are generated on the engineer’s cost estimate of the system installation, parts and labor included.

Plan Review Fees incorporating submitted required permits/plans:
In addition to the Fire Permit Fee a plan review fee equal to 65% of the Fire Permit Fee will be charged on all Fire Permits when submitted documents are required.

Pullman Fire Department evaluates all plans and construction documents to determine if all related documents meet the requirements of the codes and standards adopted by the City of Pullman. Obtaining multiple permits from the Pullman Fire Department is required for the majority of projects.

Depending on the complexity of the project it may be necessary to hire a licensed designs professional to review the plans.
