It seems that a day doesn’t go by that you can’t pick up a newspaper and read or turn on the television and hear about the struggles of the economy. We know that many of you have been affected in one way or another by this ever changing world we live in, and Pullman Parks & Recreation is no exception either.

With a “challenging” 2012 budget ahead, Parks & Recreation will make some changes to the method we distribute our activities brochure. Starting with the release of our summer brochure, we will no longer be direct mailing to every household in Pullman. We will continue to mail some brochures to select target markets we have established, but these will be on a limited basis. Copies of the brochure will be available at all the Parks & Recreation locations and can always be viewed online at www.pullman-wa.gov/recreation. You can also “friend us” on Facebook and receive current information on programs and upcoming special events.

Even with these changes, the one thing you can be assured of is your Parks & Recreation Department is here for you. We will continue to offer the quality programs and services you have become accustomed to receiving. Our devoted staff will continue to work hard and strive to give our patrons the best we have to offer. If you have any ideas for future programs you would like to see offered, we would love to hear from you.
