Emergency Shelter Established in Pullman
PULLMAN – An emergency shelter has been established in Pullman to accommodate residents who are still without power and have no other sheltering alternatives. The shelter is located at the Pioneer Center, 240 SE Dexter St., Pullman.
A number of residences and businesses lost power during a severe wind event Tuesday night, November 17. While much of the power in Pullman has been restored, there are still some residences without electricity. With temperatures projected to fall below freezing tonight, the City of Pullman, with support from the American Red Cross, has established a shelter at the Pioneer Center. We ask those in need of shelter to please utilize other resources if available, such as friends and family. The emergency shelter should be considered a last resort for those with no other options, as space is limited.
