"SPRINGBASH CONCERT" SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT DENIED

PULLMAN – The City received a special event permit application from "Pullman Events Presents" and "Progressive Entertainment" for a "Springbash Concert" to be held on April 4, 2012 at Sunnyside Park.  The concert entertainment was to consist of hip-hop artist Tyga accompanied by Honey Cocaine, YG, and 'Lil Twist.

All special event permit applications are reviewed by city staff and approval is granted only after event organizers can demonstrate their ability to comply with conditions required for the particular event.  A partial list of conditions required for this type of event includes the provision of emergency medical services, security, restrooms, evacuation plan, liability insurance, traffic and parking plan, etc.

The event organizers notified city staff today that they will not be able to comply with all of the conditions to hold the event at at Sunnyside Park or any other City owned facility.  As a result, the special event permit was denied.
