Neill Public Library

Neill Public Library is open for limited public access with modified services and entry requirements for in-person visits.
In-person appointments and contactless curbside service are available.
If you are picking up holds, please use curbside service: 11:30am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday.

In-person appointments

Patrons may browse, borrow and use limited computer services during 30-minute library appointments. The library is closed for cleaning between appointments.

Safety

In accordance with Washington’s Safe Start requirements, patrons must wear a mask at all times and maintain six feet of physical distance from others while in the building.  Masks are available for those in need. Curbside service is available for patrons unable to wear a mask.

Building occupancy is limited at 15% capacity, or 40 patrons at one time.  We will evaluate and adjust this metric on a consistent basis.  Return items using the outdoor book drops before entering the building.  Returns will not be accepted inside the building.

In the interest of public health, children’s toys, lounge furniture, task tables, and the courtesy phone have been temporarily removed and the drinking fountain and restrooms are closed

  • Employees are pre-screened for signs/symptoms of COVID-19 prior to starting work.
  • Employees follow all social distancing, hygiene, sanitation and safety requirements which include the requirement to wear masks, follow proper glove use, and wash hands frequently for at least 20 seconds.
  • The facility is cleaned and sanitized with a particular emphasis on commonly touched surfaces.
  • Returned library items are quarantined according to state guidelines before being cleaned and checked in.

Making it Through 2020

If you're anything like me, you can't wait for 2021 to arrive. I'm not the first to say this, but 2020 has been dismal. I'm not going to go through all the reasons why, but I know we're all ready for 2021 and hopefully spring will see normal life return - at least a little bit.
