Neill Public Library

Neill Public Library is open for limited indoor access with modified services and entry requirements for visits.

We welcome you inside to browse, borrow and use limited computer services. For everyone's health and safety, the library will close at 45 minutes past the hour for cleaning between appointments.

Appointment or Walkup
30 min visits, Monday - Friday:
10 am for COVID-19 vulnerable populations
3 - 6:30pm for the general public

Like to plan ahead?  Call 509-334-3595 to schedule your visit in advance.  Prefer to be more spontaneous?  Drop by during in-person service times and we'll let you know if space is available.  One visit per day, please.  Enter the library through the north entrance and leave through the south exit facing Olsen street.  Persons requesting an access accommodation are encouraged to notify staff in advance.  If you are only picking up holds, please use curbside service: 11:30am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday.

Safety Protocols

In accordance with Washington’s Safe Start requirements, patrons must wear a mask at all times and maintain six feet of physical distance from others while in the building.  Masks are available for those in need. Curbside service is available for patrons unable to wear a mask.

Building occupancy is limited at 15% capacity, or 40 patrons at one time.  We will evaluate and adjust this metric on a consistent basis.  Return items using the outdoor book drops before entering the building.  Returns will not be accepted inside the building.

In the interest of public health, children’s toys, lounge furniture, task tables, and the courtesy phone have been temporarily removed and the drinking fountain and restrooms are closed. Touchless hand sanitizer stations are available for use.

We are closely following the recommendations of local and state public health experts in collaboration with the City of Pullman and have implemented protocols to help you enjoy library service with confidence.

  • Employees are pre-screened for signs/symptoms of COVID-19 prior to starting work.
  • Employees follow all social distancing, hygiene, sanitation and safety requirements which include the requirement to wear masks, follow proper glove use, and wash hands frequently for at least 20 seconds.
  • The facility is cleaned and sanitized with a particular emphasis on commonly touched surfaces.
  • Returned library items are quarantined according to state guidelines before being cleaned and checked in.

Contactless curbside service
Monday - Friday: 11:30am - 5:30pm
Allow 24 - 48 hours for items to be prepared.

  1. Place holds on items in our online catalog.
  2. We will contact you when your items are ready for pickup.
  3. Make your way to a designated pickup spot, then call (509) 334-3595 to let us know you've arrived.
  • Drivers can park in marked stalls by the north entrance, near the outdoor patio. Open your trunk, tailgate or bicycle bag in advance so we can deposit your items without making contact.
  • Pedestrians can wait on the patio. We will place your items nearby for a contactless exchange.

Important notes

  • Don't have a cell phone? Call us from home and we'll schedule a time to meet you on the patio.
  • Return your items in the book drops at the North and South entrances of the library. Staff delivering curbside cannot take returns from you directly.
  • If your vehicle does not have a way for staff to safely place items inside while maintaining a 6-foot distance, staff will place your bagged items on the hood of your vehicle for you.
  • Try our digital services: e-books and e-audiobooks, research databases and streaming movies.
