Boards & Commissions

Initial value

Washington State Law requires each city to have certain boards, such as the Planning Commission, but leaves the composition of the board up to the individual cities. Other boards, not required by state law, are developed by council action.

With subsequent approval by the Council, the mayor appoints members to most boards and commissions from among submitted applications. The left-hand column is a list of Pullman boards and commissions.

Click any board, commission or committee link for a brief description of the group's duties and responsibilities. For further information about any of the boards, you may contact the staff liaison.
