PULLMAN, WA—Due to Neill Public Library being closed on Sundays, the City of Pullman activated a cooling center for Sunday, July 31, at the Pullman Senior Center from 2-6 p.m. to give residents relief from the end of this week’s heat advisory.
Cooling center location:
Pullman Senior Center
190 SE Crestview Street, Building B
Open July 31, 2-6 p.m.
The Senior Center, attached to the Pullman Recreation Center, can be accessed at the northwest corner of the building. The space provides bathrooms, drinking fountain, and room to wait out the heat. Only service animals are allowed in the facility. For those who need transportation, visit
www.pullman-wa.gov/transit for available routes and schedules.
As reported earlier this week, Neill Public Library, located at
210 N. Grand Avenue, is open Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. for heat relief. The City will continue to monitor for high temperatures and communicate cooling center information when available.
