Membership

Seven (7) members appointed by the Mayor, confirmed by the City Council. Three (3) consecutive unexcused absences constitute sufficient cause for removal from the Commission. Commission Fill-in Application

Term

The first appointed commissioners shall be appointed to fill terms as follows: three for one (1) year; two for two (2) years; two for three (3) years. Thereafter, all appointments shall be for a term of three (3) years or remainder of unexpired term.

Meetings

2nd Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. in Neill Public Library.

Duties & Responsibilities

It shall be the duty of the Pullman Arts Commission to seek private donations and grants to acquire City Council approved art work and support the performing arts, and to act in an advisory capacity to the City Council in making recommendations pertaining to all forms of the arts. The Arts Commission shall propose policies on the display, acquisition, siting, documentation, conservation and administration of all forms of art to the City Council for review and adoption.

Reporting Requirements

Recommendations shall be included in the Commission minutes. A copy of the minutes shall be provided to the City Administrator for delivery to the Council.

Art in Public Places Policy

The Pullman Arts Commission (PAC) is charged with the acquisition, installation and care of visual arts for the City of Pullman. These procedures outline the PAC responsibility in conjunction with other departments or organizations, and the cooperating entities duty to the PAC. One or more of the following documents must be submitted for all art projects.
