Membership

Three (3) members appointed by the Mayor; must be a U.S. citizen, an elector and a resident of Pullman for a minimum of three (3) years; no more than two (2) members from the same political party.

Term

Six (6) years, or remainder of unexpired term.

Meetings

Fourth Wednesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. at Pullman City Hall, plus additional special meetings as necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities

Adopt personnel rules for those within classified service; approve classification plan; provide for testing and evaluation; hear appeals concerning application for the State Civil Service Law and the local rules and regulations; appoint Secretary-Chief Examiner.

Reporting Requirements

The chairperson shall submit a written report to the City Council at its first regular meeting in June of each year. Such report shall cover the financial status (where applicable), progress and future planning of the activities of the Board or Commission. (PCC 1.56.010)
