AboutOn September 7, 2002, the voters of Pullman approved the creation of a metropolitan park district, the levy of a property tax in the amount of 50 cents per $1,000 of assessed valuation and the City Council’s governance of the Metropolitan Park District. Resolution No. MPD-1-03 provides that the City Council acts in its ex-officio capacity as the board of the Metropolitan Park Commissioner of Pullman and details the board’s purpose and powers.
