Multiple City departments are joining forces to offer a new free service to aid those interested in proposing a building or development project to understand the various processes and requirements involved.

Pre-application meetings will: 1) introduce City staff to proposed building and/or development project and; 2) assist applicants in preparing application packages for submittal to the City, to identify potential problems, and to streamline the development review process.

Depending on the proposed project, a pre-application meeting may involve members of the Building, Planning, Public Works, Fire, and Economic Development departments.

These meetings are informal and provide an opportunity to meet with City departments for an early-stage preliminary review. Pre-application meetings are not meant to be a detailed, all-inclusive review of proposed plans or ideas and do not grant approval of projects.
