City of Pullman Launches Economic Development Marketing & Strategy InitiativeThe City of Pullman has retained Golden Shovel Agency to provide economic development research, planning, development marketing and assessment services.
The process will provide Economic Development Manager Jennifer Hackman and city leaders a well-researched marketing assessment and recommendations to develop a strategic plan to market the City for business retention and recruitment.
“The City of Pullman has unique resources and the potential to attract more businesses and residents,” said Hackman. “By interviewing stakeholders and developing a robust digital presence, the City of Pullman can aggressively pursue targeted industries, businesses and new residents.”
A comprehensive survey coupled with stakeholder interviews will be conducted over the next five weeks resulting in a final recommendation and city council presentation.
“Using a national economic development agency is a great opportunity for the City of Pullman to objectively identify strengths and weaknesses,” said Mayor Glenn Johnson. “The City Council and I are looking forward to the research and recommendations--this information will give us an economic development advantage.”
