UNEMPLOYMENT FRAUD

Pullman PD has received many reports of unemployment fraud, victimizing Pullman residents. Suspects create an account with the Washington Employment Security Department (ESD) utilizing victims name, birth date, and social security number, and apply for unemployment benefits. To find out if you are a victim of unemployment fraud, if you have not yet created a personal Washington State ESD account, go to https://esd.wa.gov and complete the steps to create an account. During this process, you will discover whether a fraudulent account has already been created in your name. If so, there is also a link on the same website to report fraud.
