NATIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY TELECOMMUNICATORS WEEK
PULLMAN – Across the nation, 9-1-1 operators play a critical role in coordinating first response and lifesaving efforts within their communities. These unseen heroes are first to provide crucial assistance to people in need, reassuring and supporting them while law enforcement, fire personnel, or emergency medical teams are en route.
National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, April 10-16, 2022, recognizes the invaluable contributions of emergency dispatchers to public safety and emergency response.
Local emergency dispatchers have a highly difficult and incredibly important job, which directly impacts the wellbeing of local residents, students, and visitors. The Pullman Police Department recognizes the men and women of the Whitcom 9-1-1 Regional Dispatch Center, for providing invaluable support in our mission to protect and serve the Pullman community.
We thank all public safety telecommunicators for the contributions that they make toward the safety of their communities, here in Pullman and beyond.
