May 13 Water Main Repair Scheduled

Spring Street Water Main Repair Work
Posted on 05/12/2021
City of Pullman Maintenance and OperationsNotification was provided, via doorhangers left by city staff, to approximately 50 residences on Spring, Camino, Grant, and Nebraska Streets that water service to their homes would be interrupted on May 13, 2021. As crews performed service line replacements in conjunction with this year’s Arterial Streets project, it was identified that a crack was beginning to form on the water main that runs under Spring Street between Derby and Nebraska Streets. In an effort to prevent the need for future emergency repair work, city maintenance crews initially attempted to repair the main on April 28. Once the level of impact was identified as being significantly larger than originally anticipated, crews moved to reschedule the repair work. Water service to the impacted households will be turned off at approximately 8 a.m. on Thursday, and should be restored no later than 4 p.m. on the same day. Water service lines will be flushed as the water is turned back on in an effort to avoid water discoloration impacts for customers. If you do experience discolored water, find out more here.

As this work is taking place in an area that is already closed to through traffic associated with the Arterial Streets project, no additional traffic impacts are expected.
