Posted on 11/06/2020
City of Pullman Winter Update 20-21The weather forecast for this weekend, November 6 – 8, 2020 calls for rain beginning Friday evening, with additional rainfall expected on Saturday. Temperatures in the mid-'30s to the lower '40s are expected, with ice and black ice potential in the early morning hours.

Maintenance crews will report to work at 5 am on Saturday and Sunday to inspect road conditions. Unless there is heavy rain, they will apply a liquid anti-icing agent to the asphalt streets, focusing on primary and secondary roadways. Once the temperature rises and the pavement warms up, snow and ice control activities will end. City staff will monitor the weather closely throughout the weekend and revise strategy as necessary.

Please consider postponing non-essential trips until mid-morning on both Saturday and Sunday. If you must travel, please be cautious, especially early in the morning hours, and in shaded areas after sunrise.

*Please note, the plan of action identified above will be adjusted if necessary. Winter weather is unpredictable, and crews are always ready to respond as needed.
