The Small Business Flex Fund Offers Low Interest Loans to Pullman Small Businesses and Nonprofits
PULLMAN, WA—The City of Pullman would like local small business owners and nonprofits to
know that the application window is open for the Small Business Flex Fund, a flexible lending
opportunity of up to $150,000 for those that were impacted by the pandemic. The Fund is a
public-private partnership aimed at helping small businesses and nonprofits recover and grow
as communities across the state reopen for business.
With 3-4% interest rates, no fees, and the ability to use the loan for a variety of needs, the Flex
Fund could be a useful tool for those looking to bounce back after Covid better than ever. This
tool might also be helpful for downtown businesses and nonprofits as Pullman prepares for Project Downtown Pullman, which is set to break ground in late spring/early summer of 2023.
“The application window for this competitive loan closes mid-February,” said Jennifer Hackman,
the Economic Development manager for the City of Pullman. “So, now is a great time to
consider it if you’re ready to reinvest or you need additional stability or flexibility as you
continue to recover from the pandemic.”
Interested organizations can pre-apply online at www.SmallBusinessFlexFund.org. Qualified
applicants will be matched with a community lender that will assist the business owner
throughout the application process and provide additional guidance.
