The Protective Inspections division provides technical plan review, inspections of structures under construction, and supervision of special inspections, as well as providing education concerning state building code requirements to the public, contractors, developers, architects, engineers and business people through meetings, classes and newsletters. Building permits are issued, and permitting records are maintained, through this division.
