WATER USE EFFICIENCY PUBLIC FORUM

The City of Pullman will hold a public forum on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, to solicit comments on the City’s proposed Water Use Efficiency (WUE) goals for the next 10 years. The public forum starts promptly at 10:00 a.m. and will last 60 minutes. The public forum will be held at the Pullman City Hall Council Chambers.

The WUE goals are designed to enhance efficient water use in the City and help conserve the Palouse Basin aquifer water supply. Additional information regarding the City’s draft WUE Program and draft WUE goals can be found within Chapter 4 of the City’s draft Water System Plan, available at this link: http://tinyurl.com/2024WUE

The purpose of the hearing is to provide the public with an opportunity to comment on or offer input on the City’s proposed WUE goals. Comments regarding the draft WUE goals may be provided in-person at the public forum, or written comments may be provided no later than 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, to Public Works administrative support staff, 509-338-3220, pwcd-admin@pullman-wa.gov. All comments received by the deadline and/or at the public forum will be reviewed and considered by the City. It is anticipated that the WUE goals will be adopted by the City Council at a subsequent regularly scheduled council meeting, pending the public comments.
