PULLMAN, WA—The City of Pullman’s annual leaf collection activities begin on November 6 and continue through November 22.

Currently, City maintenance crews are scheduled to visit neighborhoods for leaf pickup during the following dates:

Military Hill (NW Quadrant)
November 6, 7, 8

Sunnyside Hill* (SW Quadrant)                 November 9, 13, 14

Pioneer Hill (SE Quadrant)                           November 15, 16, 17

College Hill (NE Quadrant)                           November 20, 21, 22

*Please note that Sunnyside Hill does include Nicole Court, Sunrise Drive, Cory Lane, Golden Hills Drive, and the Evergreen Community.

In order for City vehicles to provide the most thorough leaf collection, please take the following steps to prepare:

  1. Rake leaves into the street, next to the curb no more than two days before collection
  2. Park vehicles in legal, off-street parking areas
  3. Do not bag leaves or include any debris other than leaves. Crews will not collect bagged or mixed leaf piles as leaves will be repurposed as mulch

Please keep in mind that leaf collection is dependent upon weather. Collection may have to be suspended to maintain safe streets with regard to snow and ice control. Visit for up-to-date information. Additionally, street sweepers will follow once the leaves are collected as time and weather allows to further tidy up streets.

If such a weather event occurs or pickup dates are missed by residents, it may become the responsibility of the property owner to remove any leaves that have been raked into the street. If necessary, the Whitman County Landfill does accept yard waste and vegetation free of charge.
